Since 1997, Shelley Rudderham has been shaping young minds as an elementary school teacher with the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial. With a firm belief that every child is one-of-a-kind, Shelley champions the idea that true growth comes from a mix of courage, perseverance, and the occasional well-timed laugh.
Her teaching philosophy centers on helping students build confidence and self-esteem—skills she models daily (and sometimes tests during glitter-filled art projects). Shelley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Education, and Reading Recovery certification, proving that lifelong learning isn’t just something she teaches—it’s how she lives.
Originally from New Brunswick and a proud Nova Scotian since 1979, Shelley has built her life around education, family, and stories. Alongside her husband Joe, she has passed down a love of reading to their three daughters—because in the Rudderham household, a good story is always the best homework.
